Nitro

“Nitro” as we call him, is our handsome boy from Yugoslavia. He is out of champion parents with excellent health records and longevity in the blood lines. He has a mild, gentle and very affectionate personality. He gets along with everyone and really wants to please. He is not pushy or a ‘space invader’ and tends to throw this gentle disposition on his pups. He also throws his “High Five” on his pups! Nitro is PennHip certified in the top 30 percentile, DM clear, and OFA Cardiac certified “normal”.

Nitro lived to the age of 10. He lived out his retirement from Haystack Acres with a dear friend and he rarely left her side. Nitro was her certified therapy dog for several years and the two of them were a team like no other. Nitro was healthy and active up to the end. We all miss him dearly every day. We are happy to announce however, that Nitro’s bloodlines will live on at Haystack Acres! We have several dogs in our program who’s lineage traces back to Nitro and his parents from Europe.
