Guardianship of Haystack Dogs

Over the years we have enjoyed working with families who have wanted to be part of our team in a very special way. While we would love to house every one of our precious pets inside our home full time, I simply can not spend my entire day picking up dog hair and all the joys of nature they bring into my home. Ok, truthfully, there isn’t enough room on my couch for all of them! Therefore, we offer an opportunity for folks to enjoy the perks of our foster program while maintaining breeding status on our dogs for a period of time. Once the dog is retired from breeding, it remains with the foster parent for life. How it works: The Perks!

You pay for the dog up front, and get paid back over time as litters arrive until your dog is free!

Enjoy a worry free extended vacation somewhere fun while mama is here at Haystack with her puppies for 7 weeks. She gets to live with you the rest of the year!

Ongoing advice and personal help in anything you need!

The joy of being involved in raising puppies! You’re welcome to come visit mama and babies as much as you would like.

When you need boarding, we are here for you! We want to continue to know and love the pets in our Guardian programs so by boarding here with us, whenever you need, it becomes a win-win situation for all. Boarding facilities are expensive and a place of potential sickness, disease and dog fights. We eliminate all these risks by allowing our pups to return ‘home’ where they are safe and secure at no cost to the Guardian for board!

Disclaimer, many of the people who have a guardian dog end up keeping a puppy!!!
